Happy Thanksgiving! Another new song. This song is about being in a negative mindset that is pervasive enough to ruin anything that would be good about your day. If you're having a tough day, you might think to relax with some hobbies or some community you think is there for you but this negative mindset distorts all of these making it so there is no respite during a rough day.
Musically - this is somewhat of a departure from the previous 3 songs, especially in length and moving through different distinct sections. Initially I wanted to emphasize more the punk side of grindcore but then a lot of Gojira influence comes in. This is seen in the chorus and also after the tempo change into the second section of the song. This second section is also a bit groovier with a slap bass line which helped distinguish it from, what in my mind, was pretty heavy Gojira influence. Some notable highlight are the 7/4 section during the second "verse", the groovier 2nd section and the musical motif throughout of "nothing is good" that hopefully binds these somewhat disparate sections.
